Appointments can be made on 01382 432030

Clinical staff will triage all appointment requests to co-ordinate the most appropriate management plan.

We are grateful to our patient population for noting the above and their patience when contacting the practice by telephone as our lines can be very busy.

The reception team will ask you for some details in order to assess the urgency and to appoint you appropriately. Any information received will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and confidence.

Face to face consultations with the GP or the Practice Nurse will be only be arranged following a telephone consultation with a clinician and if clinically indicated

Practice Nurse

The Practice Nurse will see patients for routine chronic disease reviews and will also hold daily minor illness clinics.  Our practice nurse is fully trained in minor illness and prescribing and can see patients independently for minor ailments.  When you contact the practice the receptionist may ask for some brief details in order to assess whether you can be seen by the nurse rather than the doctor.  Please note that the practice nurse will continue to see patients for smears, stitch removal, dressings  etc.

Healthcare Assistant

Our healthcare assistant will see patients for bloods, ECG’s, blood pressure readings, BMI recordings and basic health promotion advice.

Interpreter Services

Interpretation services are available if English is not your first language. The practice will use a phone based interpretation service provided by NHS Tayside. Please alert the practice if you require this service as this will require additional consultation time.

If you find that you are unable to keep your appointment please phone and cancel it at least 24 hours before. If you fail to attend for a booked appointment we will record the missed appointment and write to you. Patients who consistently fail to attend appointments may be removed from the list.

If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment the GP or Practice Nurse may not be able to see you.
